God is so good!

We finally got internet in our apartment, so I thought i would stop by for an update.Well I am 38 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow! I had my high risk dr's appt yesterday and Levi and I are doing great! So great that my dr does not want to induce me until I hit 39 weeks, so I saw my regular o.b. dr today, and I was shocked to find out I am 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced. My o.b. told me that she thinks I will just go into labor on my own, but just In case, she has scheduled me for induction next Friday at 7am! I'm so thankful I have made it this far in my pregnancy, this time I feel ready and prepared to have a baby, the apartment is clean, all the laundry is done and our hospital bags are packed, we can't wait to meet our little man!

I also wanted to share an update about my friend K. A lot has gone on with her in the past year since I last wrote about her and she could really use some extra prayers! So after her miscarriage in December 2011, it was discovered that she had a massive fibroid in her uterus, so she was scheduled for surgery to remove it and to see how bad her endo had gotten. The surgery showed that her endo was actually doing much better, but she did have a lot of scar tissue, but the surgeon could not find any fibroid in her uterus. After these findings her RE ordered an MRI and she was officially diagnosed with adenomyosis, which occurs when endometrial tissue exists within and grows into the muscular wall of the uterus. So the fibroid the drs thought they were seeing on the ultrasound was actually endometrial tissue growing in K's uterus. She was then told by her RE that she should consider getting a surrogate because chances were slim that she would ever be able to carry her own babies. This was a very tough time for my dear friend, I tried to comfort her as best as I could, but by the point K was getting this diagnosis Jackie was 3 or 4 months old and I know how hard it can be to be around new mom's and their babies. Under the advice of her RE, K spent the whole summer last summer doing two IVF cycles back to back in hopes of getting at least 10 embryos to freeze, and she was successful, thank God! After she got those embryos frozen she and her husband decided to take some time to pray and ask God to send the right lady to them that would be able to carry their baby one day. So they spent all fall, winter, and spring praying and preparing financially to hire a surrogate. Since finishing her IVF cycles K was on lupron and she made an appt with her ob dr in April to check on her mass and endo. She called me with such amazing news! Her endo was still looking much better and to the shock of her dr, the mass had shrunk considerably! He told her to make an appt with her RE, he said in his opinion K could get pregnant and carry her own baby, but he wanted to see what her RE thought. So she saw her RE and she agreed! She told K that they had to do the cycle as soon as possible while everything looked good, because of K's history they put her on a new protocol with some different meds to help with implantation and everything went great! On July 12 she had 2 beautiful embryos transferred and I have been praying for her non stop!
On  Monday the 22nd we were texting back and forth and I talked her into taking a home test lol! About 3 mins later I received a picture of a very positive pregnancy test! IT WORKED! K is pregnant! Her beta wasn't until today and she just called me a little while ago, her 1st beta was 836!! I am so happy for my friend! She is very nervous, especially since things didn't go so well last time, but I am sure things will be fine this time! I cannot wait for her 1st ultrasound to see if there is one or two babies, lol! I am so thankful for a God in heaven that hears and answers prayers! Please help me in lifting K and her baby up in prayers! Pray that God will comfort her and that things will go smoothly this time! I will definitely keep everyone updated on her, I hope her story helps some ladies out there suffering from endo and adenomyosis, don't ever give up hope and remember God can do anything!

  1. Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon on a daily basis.

It will always be useful to read content from other writers and practice something from other web sites.
